Terms of service
Last updated: August 24, 2026
The terms on which ANNA EVELYN HALE FUNY LLC, trading as Bookza, sells books through bookzastore.com. They run alongside the Shipping Policy, Refund and Returns Policy, Payment Policy, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, each forming part of this agreement. Where a summary here differs from the policy it summarizes, the policy governs.
Agree to these terms when you order
Browsing here, or sending an order through, means this page and the linked policies apply to you. Not acceptable to you? Then please do not order. The page is deliberately short and specific, because asking anyone to read something longer would be unreasonable.
Meet the seller behind Bookza
Seller and merchant of record for each order: ANNA EVELYN HALE FUNY LLC, Federal EIN 99-4709040, 1007 W 3rd Ave Apt 118, Indianola, IA 50125, United States. That is the registered office and the returns address. It holds no stock and dispatches no orders. "We", "us" and "Bookza" throughout this page mean that company.
Be 18, and order for yourself
Ordering requires you to be 18 or older, using a name, address and payment method that belong to you, buying for personal use rather than resale. Where an account exists, its password is yours to protect; tell us if you suspect someone else has used it.
Know what sits on the shelves
New printed books, sourced through authorized wholesalers and distributors in the United States: fiction and novels, children's titles and early-learning workbooks, coloring and activity books, and a small self-improvement shelf. Each listing carries format, publisher, page count, publication date and ISBN for the copy stocked. We retail books; we do not publish them, and we claim no right in any work sold here. Printed books are the whole catalog today. Other categories of book will follow, and ebooks or other products may follow after that. Every item listed here sells under this page and these policies without exception, so treat the word "book" in any of them as standing for whatever you ordered — with one exception. Anything delivered digitally rather than posted, an ebook being the obvious case, cannot sensibly live under a shipping and returns policy written for parcels. Terms covering delivery and refunds for such a product will be published before it goes on sale.
Read the price as the price
US dollars throughout. Prices move over time, but the price displayed when an order is placed is the price charged for that order. Postage sits on its own line, state sales tax on another, both visible before you confirm; the figure at the bottom is the figure billed. Permanent "was" figures and countdown offers do not run here.
Let us correct a listing that is plainly wrong
Catalog data arrives from publishers and distributors, and occasionally arrives broken: a decimal in the wrong place, a price at a fraction of cover, a page count that cannot be real. Obvious errors of that kind allow us to cancel before dispatch, refund in full and explain what happened. Shipping at a price never intended is not something we will do, and nor will we quietly bill the corrected figure and hope you miss it.
Wait for the shipping email before the order is ours
Placing an order puts an offer in front of us. Acceptance happens at dispatch, when the shipping email with tracking goes out; the confirmation before that is a receipt. Grounds for declining beforehand: payment that cannot be verified, a fraud-screening flag, an address outside the delivery area, a title that turns out unavailable, or a listing carrying a clear error. Every one of those returns your money in full.
Pay in full at checkout
Checkout settles the whole amount through Stripe or through PayPal; the Payment Policy carries the detail. Cancellation is available for 12 hours after ordering while nothing has dispatched, by email quoting the order number. Subscriptions, instalments and recurring charges exist nowhere on this site.
Take delivery under the shipping policy
Delivery reaches the District of Columbia and the 48 contiguous states, by USPS. Packing takes 2 to 3 business days, transit 3 to 7, for 5 to 10 business days altogether. Shipping costs $4.99, or nothing from $39.00. Late, damaged and lost parcels are handled exactly as the Shipping Policy describes.
Return it under the returns policy
Thirty days from delivery to begin a return, no restocking fee, every return opening with an email so an authorization and address can be issued. Postage responsibility varies with the reason, and money returns to whichever method paid, 3 to 5 business days after the copy passes inspection. Copies that arrive broken, copies that are the wrong title, and copies that do not match their listing each get their own section over there.
Leave the covers, words and photographs where they are
The Bookza name, logo, site text and layout belong to ANNA EVELYN HALE FUNY LLC. Jacket images and descriptive copy belong to the publishers and rights holders they came from, used here to sell the books they depict. Browsing, printing a page for your own shopping and linking to a product are all fine. Copying the catalog, scraping the site, reusing jacket images to sell books elsewhere, or implying an endorsement we never gave are not. A purchase conveys the physical copy, not any right in the work printed inside it.
Tell us if we published something you own
Think something here uses a copyright or trademark of yours without permission? Email contact@bookzastore.com under the subject line "IP complaint", including the listing URL, a description of the work, your contact details, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized. You hear back inside one business day. Claims that look sound take the listing offline while we check it against the publisher or distributor. Where a notice satisfies the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, it is accepted and answered on those terms.
Post a review only if you bought the book
Product pages carry reviews written by shoppers rather than by us. We neither pay for reviews nor write them nor commission them, and a negative review is not removed for being negative. Removal happens only where a review is off-topic, abusive, contains someone's personal information, or shows no sign of resting on an actual purchase — the standard set by the Federal Trade Commission's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials. Posting one grants us permission to display it and confirms it reflects your honest experience of a book you read.
Use the site the way a customer would
Out of bounds: unlawful use of any kind; ordering on a card or account belonging to someone else; probing or overloading the site; working around its security; scraping other customers' details; impersonating Bookza, its staff or another customer. Orders may be refused and accounts suspended where this appears, and reported where law requires.
Hear the promises we make, and the ones we do not
Promised: each book is the edition its listing describes, and a copy arriving damaged, defective, wrong or not as described gets replaced or refunded. Not promised: uninterrupted availability of this website, freedom from every error, or that a particular book will suit you — the 30-day window exists for that last one. Nothing at all is promised about a book's contents, which belong to its author. Warranties your state's law refuses to let anyone limit remain untouched by this paragraph.
Know the ceiling on what we owe
Liability on an order stops at what that order cost you, postage counted in. Indirect and consequential losses fall outside it — an occasion missed, a copy bought elsewhere while waiting, time spent chasing a parcel — as do carrier delays and events beyond our control once the Shipping Policy obligations are met. Liability the law will not permit anyone to cap stays uncapped, and consumer protections granted by your state's law survive this paragraph intact.
Settle it with us first, under Iowa law
Iowa law governs these terms, the company being based there, with the courts of Warren County, Iowa holding jurisdiction. None of that removes consumer protection granted by the law of your own state, nor your right to file in your local court, small claims included, where that law permits. Before anything formal, email us and allow 30 days to put things right in good faith; almost everything ends there. No arbitration clause and no class-action waiver appear on this site. Where your own breach of these terms — paying on someone else's card, reusing our content commercially — draws a third-party claim against us, the resulting costs fall to you; ordinary disputes about an order do not, and run through the policies instead.
Read the fine print, then write to a person
Should a court find any part unenforceable, that part narrows or falls away and the remainder stands. Declining to enforce a term once does not surrender it. This page, the five linked policies and your order confirmation form the whole agreement covering a purchase, superseding anything earlier. Updates follow changes in how we sell; the version live when you order governs that order, and no order's terms change after it is placed. Questions on any of it go to a member of our team.
