Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated: August 24, 2026
Your Rights Under CCPA
California residents hold a set of rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. Among them: directing a business to stop selling or sharing personal information, finding out what it holds, having it corrected, having it erased, and receiving identical treatment whichever of those you use. This page states where Bookza stands and how to reach us. Everything else about data sits in the Privacy Policy.
What Does "Selling Information" Mean?
The statute reaches further than cash. Selling reaches any disclosure of your details to an outside party in exchange for money, or for anything else carrying value. Sharing carries its own definition: handing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, meaning the practice of following someone across unrelated websites to aim advertising at them.
Bookza sells no personal information and shares none for cross-context behavioral advertising. No qualifier belongs on that sentence, so none is attached. This storefront loads no advertising pixel, no analytics tag and no third-party tracker whatsoever. Information travels only to the firms an order requires — the payment processors, the distributor filling the order, and USPS — each acting on our instructions and for that purpose alone. Service providers, not buyers.
Opt-Out Request for Personal Information Sharing
Nothing is being sold or shared, so an opt-out has nothing to switch off and protects you from nothing you are currently exposed to. Send one regardless and it will be handled properly. Write to contact@bookzastore.com under the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out Request", quoting the email address on your order so the record can be located. Every request is logged, confirmed in writing, and attached to your record so it survives any future change of practice.
Should the practice change — an advertising tool arriving that meets the statutory definition of selling or sharing — this page and the Privacy Policy get rewritten and a functioning opt-out is built, Global Privacy Control signal included, ahead of that tool going live. Describing a control that does not exist on the site today is exactly what we will not do.
Verification Process and Response Time
Verification works by matching the sending address against the address on the order. Where a request reaches into detail, we may ask for the order number or the delivery ZIP as a second match. Government ID, photographs and card numbers are never requested to verify a privacy request.
Acknowledgement lands within one business day. Opt-out requests complete within 15 business days. A request to see, fix or erase what we hold is answered inside 45 calendar days, with one extension of a further 45 days available where a request is genuinely complex — and you would hear the reason before the first period expired. Authorized agents may act on your behalf with your written permission.
Right to Non-Discrimination
Using any right on this page changes nothing about your treatment here. Identical prices, identical shipping rates, identical 30-day returns, identical service. No financial incentive is offered in exchange for personal information, and no loyalty scheme runs on data.
Important Notes
Worth knowing before you send a request. Erasure removes order history that would otherwise help us handle a return, so waiting until an open order closes is usually the better sequence. Certain records survive a deletion request because tax and transaction law requires us to retain them. This page governs personal information held by this business, not information handed directly to PayPal or a bank under their own terms. And while these rights belong to California residents by statute, requests from customers in other states are handled the same way in practice. One line is stricter still: no one known to be under 16 has their details sold or shared, ever, and no opt-in exists that could change it.
